want to make a 5000 sq wrp map and need some help

my friend just learned how to rp and want to know if i want to help him build a 5000sq wrp map I said sure let me get some help and he said we need all the help we can get if you are interested plz let me know he want to try to make a lot of islands in this map.

If you make a detailed WRP map that big, even without anyone having built anything, it will lagg like you were playing FWG for 2 hours and all 6 people are attacking at the center.

I have a 1000x1000 map that I handed out to a few people who wanted to make a map.

I am currently editting a v22 WRP map for Hades, Lava and myself so I won't be able to help much unless you want quick eyecandy help.

Holy shit, if you want to make a 5000x5000 map you realise the requirements in RAM is roughly equivelant to running Battlefield 3 on HIGHEST spec?

yes he does he made one before at his house but he did not have internet i know about the lag orgy and my friend is over at my place today an we are going to work on the map and probly make it 2500 x 2500

We could try out via Gameranger with some people and him of course

but yeah, 2500x2500 is reasonable, as long as you warn everyone about slow load times etc

what is this talk about mixing AOM & BF3 system req up? I just checked the net & it says recommended "RAM: 4GB"

I highly doubt that. The reason why you need so much RAM on ultra settings with modern games is cause W vista & W7 need it, and cause they are ultra settings lol.

Having a decent net connection aswell will be more important (average quality in one country isn't the same as in another country). All this wireless internetcrap is a load of bullox aswell. It's meant for small data not constant stream of game data. I'm not saying good wireless don't exist though.

Unless ofcourse all these people who lag out play on 2001 toasters instead of 2006-2012 computers, the above statement about interwebz is false 11

me and my friend are almost done with shop we are thinking about puting in a luv system/ rank system all heros and some units will be able to lvl/ rank up if any one want to help with this map plz let me know we will have the frist preveiw of the shop in the next few weeks

A leveling system in a WRP? You are turning it into a RPG. Be careful. You don't want units being unbalanced. Overpowered RP characters is one thing but actual Overpowered units. Some people will not level while others will.

well yes some will be over powering but we will make it to where poeple can not choose what they want. it will automatic give the unit stuff. also when the shop is done i will need help with the map if poeple want to help they can
it will all balance out

Alright. I hope you don't add in triggered missions and such. This is what was in the OnimiumB3QLL WRP map and it was greatly disliked.
