WRP isn't just about Roleplaying, it's about making an area that fits to your RP. I enjoy building my place almost more than actually RPing. I think it would be cool to make some kind of thread where we can post screenshots of all kinds of stuff that we made and caption it with a "Taken by:" and "Created by:". Cities, towns, buildings, decorations, people, a fenris wolf brood licking it's balls tongue Whatever, be it with skill or luck. What do you think?

yep, I forgot the default setting for it but there is a screenshot folder built into AoM, I believe it was taken out and by downloading Nottuds Superpack, you can re-enable it.

I am bringing this discussion up again, although this time in recognition to the Eyecandy Thread idea, instead of the Continuous WRP map. This time I have to put my foot down.

The idea of the Eyecandy Thread was to post things from WRPs, not from everywhere. It isn't a contest. The Eyecandy Thread should be for RPers to see eachother's creations, and inspire them with new ideas.

An RPer is evaluated on his skill by what he does within the WRP, not by what he can do in the Editor.

This is the point I was trying to make with the Continuous WRP Map. Many people are good at making stuff with the Editor and, yes, you have a lot more possibilites and can make way cooler things, take the Adventure RPGs for example. On the other hand, if I only knew how to do that stuff in Editor and didn't feel like doing it in WRPs, I, and none of the others, would have became HoRH.

The reason I use HoRH is because there are HoRs that lack skill at building a base, but this is exactly the reason why we should be showing what we can do within the WRP! Lava took a screenshot of something I built in an WRP. Sure, I can do it in Editor easily, but then it wouldn't matter as much now would it?

If one of the HoRHs wanted to use the Editor instead of building, I would yell at them for not showing the others the exact reason why they are a HoRH. This is why I am still making my city in the Continuous WRP map within the game. I feel it belongs to an RP just as much as RPing itself. As I said before, you can do whatever you want in the WRP Map, but for this Eyecandy Thread, it should be only things from RPs. That was the main reason for the idea.

ALOT of what is in the editor is entirely impossible within game Razz

You missed the point I was trying to make. An RPer is evaluated by what he does within the RP. Otherwise we would have no standards and every moron who overlaps two dwarven forges in the editor would be considered a great builder. Doing this within the WRP is much more rewarding and shows your creative thinking through doing it just as well by playing the map.

I know you can do so much more with the Editor, but until you make a shop where you could add everything, it is less relevant to a RP than what you do with the resources you have in the game. I am not the only who thinks like this.

Terrae_Rex and Sol_Ruler_Gold are awesome builders. What they have built while playing surpasses all the set buildings that I have seen that have been added in WRP maps. I understand that you want to make your city the best in can be, seeing as we will be using them the whole time. You could RP in a place like in the Adventures RPGs, if you were that good with the Editor.

You still have enough flexibility in an WRP to make something that is more than enough. It's still debatable about the WRP Map, but for the Eyecandy Thread, only things from WRPs. The reason still trumps the means.

I don't see what point you are trying to make. I know that the specific forge was luck, but I did place the old men that way because I knew that the forges would overlap. It wasn't the first time that I made a forge like that. And it certainly wasn't the best overlap that I have gotten. For The Eyecandy Thread, it would fit nicely.
